Planr Flow is live: real-time production planning for manufacturersSee what's new

Why we started Planr

Two childhood friends, a production floor in Stockholm, and a simple idea: planning that grows with the company it serves.

Planr started in Stockholm, built by two childhood friends who kept noticing the same thing on factory floors: the work itself had moved on, but the planning behind it hadn't.

Across manufacturing, companies were still running production by hand: on spreadsheets, whiteboards, and memory. Not because they wanted to, but because the software meant to help was either too expensive to justify or too complicated to learn. The systems that promised to fix planning often added more work than they took away, so floors quietly went back to the methods they already trusted.

The idea

We set out to build something different: a production planner simple enough that a floor could pick it up in a day, but capable enough to grow with the business behind it. A system that evolves alongside the company it serves, from a small workshop to a multi-site operation, instead of forcing the company to bend around the software.

That meant one live view the whole floor could share, where the plan and the work are the same thing: orders, workflow steps, operators, and delivery weeks all connected as the floor moves. Managers see the whole pipeline; operators see only what's theirs.

Where we are today

Planr is built and run by the same people who use it. We split our time between the codebase and the floor, and we still ship every feature against a real shift rather than a roadmap slide. Today that means facilities in Stockholm, Riga, and Tallinn, in four languages.
